Weekly Impressive Animal Pictures: 10 June 2011

Each week, people continue to discover amazing animal pictures and photographers have shot numerous impressive images about lovely animals and their actions that can help you experience different levels of emotional feeling. Let's take a look at the following impressive animal pictures of the previous week.


A seven-month-old yellow baboon gives a warm embrace for the little Galagos which is also known as a bushbaby. The emotional sight is captured in at the Animal Orphanage in the Kenya Wildlife Service headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya. Despite the difference in nature, the baboon or Papio cynocephalus has considered the little Galagos at the orphanage as her own offspring and gives her affection and protection to the child. Galagos is nocturnal primates living in continental Africa while the yellow balloon habitats in the eastern Africa.

A mother Flora tries to persuade her three-month-old male pygmy hippo Sapo back after he managed to escape from the gate at Whipsnade Zoo near Dunstable.

A tufted capuchin monkey holds a cucumber presented by a farmer due to the outbreak of the E. coli epidemic in Germany.

Three golden lion tamarins sit on their mother’s back in Bristol Zoo Gardens.

Members of a group of cheetahs are fighting with each other in the Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area, in Tanzania. The fabulous shoot is taken by British photographer Elliott Neep.

Amateur photographer Gareth Jenkins has captured the excellent shoot when a penguin jumps into the water as others are waiting for their turn.
